Since its establishment in 2020, Maphorisa_Megodung Annual Soccer Tournament has largely grown the local economy within the community. All the vendors who initially took part in the tournament, share the same sentiments. Every successful completion of the tournament since from the very first one to date, boosted them with cash injection. The locals always smile all the way to the bank handsomely rewarded. This year won’t be any different, the gaps in the market will essentially be filled in more ways than one. Drinks, food and all other sweet stuff will be sold at the event.
This year’s event is proudly sponsored by My Jim Tech Project, famously owned by Jimmy Hlongwane who is also the owner of Matuludi Liquor Restaurant. In support of the tournament, Hlongwane generously donated R2000 making the total stake R10 000 from the joining fee (R1000) each participating team contributed. The winners of the tournament will walk away with a staggering R6500 whereas the runners-up prize money will be a reward of R2500.

There will be a live performance by Limpopo’s newest kid on the block Phumzen Montana also known as Mfana Sa Di Love by many of his fans. Spooko Mabinixa, Mafanza, and other supporting acts will join Phumzen Montana on stage to keep everyone in the crowd from the edge of their seats jamming and dancing to their blistering music.
