The city will commence with the Leeto La Polokwane Phase 1A operations on 24 October 2021. The decision to commence with the operations has been taken after the Executive Mayor, Cllr John Mpe inspected the operational readiness of the Leeto La Polokwane bus service, on 18 October 2021. The Executive Mayor has noted delays on some of the infrastructure developments such as the station on General Joubert street and the depot in Seshego Zone 8, however, has resolved that these would be addressed whilst the service is operating to ensure that the people of Polokwane do not have to wait any longer for the much-anticipated bus service. Paper tickets will be available for sale from Monday, 25 October 2021. This is to allow passengers time to start using the tickets to board the buses from Wednesday, 27 October 2021.

The Phase 1A operations between Seshego, Westenburg – Nirvana, Flora Park, and the CBD will commence full operations after the successful completion of TrialOperations as previously communicated.
