Simon Mdaka Doing Things Differently

Once upon a time people never used to wear clothes. It might now seem weird not being dressed up, but then no one was bothered about covering up then. Later with time, people felt the need to protect themselves against external hazards. So they started covering their bodies with leaves and tree trunks and later also, with animal skin. After the civilizations began, people realised they could weave cloths from a plant source. What followed in the history of clothing, is that. History!

Today, the need of having to cover up is extreme. If one should walk on the streets undressed, it would appear as a taboo or it would be referred to as witchcraft in our black society.

Meet Simon Mdaka, a Matlala born agent in the circle of mobile network promotion and a proud Founder and CEO of a well-thought-out concept clothing brand, First Things First. First Things First clothing brand is primarily a reminder that your dreams and goals are for you to priotize and achieve.

First Things First slews a high-quality collection of hoodies, sweaters, golf shirts, etc, and other accessories, cups, and key holders included. It was established early in 2020.

31-year-old Mdaka tells us that putting First Things First simply means having self-awareness. Knowing yourself, your goals, your beliefs, your vision, and aspirations. As he continues, he says: "I don't want First Things First to be just another clothing line. I wanted it to be a commitment to quality and longevity. I've realised that opportunities do not present themselves to you, rather you create them. As a result, people should start prioritizing certain ideas".

First Things First denotes a clear sense of priority and enthusiasm. If what you do is worth it, continue.

The brand was inspired by how Simon believed in hard work and how it would never let you down. Going forward, Mdaka put breath-taking ideas about the future of the brand, and Hanoc Baloyi from Energy FM, working closely with Mdaka says that the future is exciting. They are so much happy with the progress they have made so far.

The Apparel and Fashion Industry comes a long way. It can be mentally and emotionally demanding. But Simon never lost hope nor the courage, but kept going and fighting for what mattered most in his life, been his clothing line.

"Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak".
