Thabang is currently the proud owner and CEO of Zanzibar Hardware situated in Mashashane Sebora, laying beautifully on the main road opposite Solly's place. It was established in May 2022. Zanzibar hardware has employed a total number of 4 people in Mashashane and looking to employ more people with the time.
Thabang Ruth Mokgehle, a super bubbly and focused lady born and raised in Seshego Polokwane in Limpopo, currently staying in the depth of a beautiful village widely known as Ga-Mashashane, several kilometres away from the Polokwane CBD since 2010 in quest of an opportunity for business. Most people do the opposite but she chose to go from township to the village.
Thabang says that this business was inspired by the principle behind 'charity begins at home'. As she continued, she said: "Over the years I have seen many people leave the village to seek for better opportunities around the country but they do not stay gone, they come back to build their families beautiful homes. With that, I decided to help making it easier for the people to access the resources and help develop this village bit by bit".
Thabang is the sole owner of Zanzibar Hardware but says she doesn't believe that she works alone. "My employees, other business owners, my customers and the community at large are a big part of this operation." She said.
Thabang shares her breathtaking future goals for her business with Strictly Mashashane that,
in the next 5 years or less, her business will not only be the leading hardware store but will also expand to different areas of the village. "We aspire to create a franchise and take it to central locations all over the village. We see ourselves partnering with municipal town developers to build and develop the public infrastructure and facilities like schools, roads, housing, sanitation systems etc.
The hardware operates 7 days a week.

She sends warm shouts to her family for being her biggest motivation and support system that has never failed her.
