She is an entrepreneur that has never worked for any kind of a company since she graduated in 2017. Not because she didn't want to but simply because she couldn't find work anywhere and she had always believed in creating employment as we are faced with the biggest challenge of the high unemployment rate in South Africa. That is some of the things that pushed her to become an independent entrepreneur.

Music

Amanda is a musician that has been delivering good music for over 12years now and she says she started as a Hip-hop Queen and later decided to try some of the genres as she has always regarded herself as versatile and capable. Today, she's about to release an Ep titled " Ngwana Mmu( *daughter of the soil" under Project Worth Studio for Cunget Amapiano Vocalist search winner 2020, working together with the likes of DJ Stukie, Mmaborose, TomKat, and many more.

Farming business

Amanda is selling vegetables from right in the back of her yard with her father, Mr Victor Kwena Mashiane, and supply for the community at large.

Their business is located at Polokwane, Moletjie Ga-Mamadila, Stand No 04. Neezy says that this dream and vision of farming business was always there but only started on a small piece of land in 2020 March after our State President announced lockdown.

"I decided to start with planting in my Dad's small garden at the back of our house. People started to love my veggies with the time and came in numbers to purchase since then. I had it in mind to extend the garden to now using 4 hectors of the yard, most of it, it is where my parents used to plant Mabele", said Mashiane.

As she continued, she tells us that they recently received a voucher from the Department of Agriculture with a program called Pesi that helped them managed to buy things they needed most for their business, such as seeds and equipment.

Neezy says that she's partnering with her father, who's also her mentor. "I have indeed learned a lot from him about farming. My father has always been an inspiration and a great supporter in everything and every movement I make".

"After I graduated I tried, by all means, to look for a job with the qualifications I had, unfortunately, I couldn't secure a job, so I started a farming business with my Dad as he had always inspired me with his hard work and dedication. I have grown to learn that agriculture is not only for old people also young people can change their lives to better, fight poverty, live a better life and uplift the economy of our country through farming.

Long term plan, is to wake up one day to own a huge, beautiful piece of land in different spaces including space in Seshego, Mashashane, and Matlala. We currently have a 7 hectors yard near Mamadila that we would like to turn into mixed farming that goes with animal farming, so we will be able to supply for big Supermarkets across South Africa and be able to create job opportunities and platforms for people to grow as individuals.
