Mobile Classes Provided In Schools Around Mashashane Due To Overcrowding

Due to an increase in the yearly academic enrolment, classroom shortage and even more problematic, textbooks has forced the government's hand to slightly make a considerable move, even though, it is of a temporary server.

Schools that received these mobile classes includes Tlakale Mashashane Secondary School, the multi award-winning, one of the best and highest performing high schools in the Maune Circuit that carries over 700+ learners a year. The school has been provided with a total number of 16 mobile classes to keep control of the matter at hand out of 22 already existing classrooms and 1 block turned into a School Hall.

It is no secret that teaching in an overcrowded classroom can cause many problems such as stress and frastrations for both teachers and learners. A crowded classroom may cause some challenges that can be nearly impossible to find solutions for or to even overcome.

Some of those problems created by overcrowded classrooms at schools include:

•Less individualized focus.

•Lack of personal connection.

•The increase of classroom discipline issues.

•fights amoungst learners

•Struggling students fall further

This problem of overcrowding has reached a point where some of the stuff rooms been turned into classrooms to reduce the number of learners pilled in classrooms to a number of learners given to be in one classroom according to the constitution.

Several school’s spokesperson attested to the fact that however, the situation has not changed neither pulled off their academical percentage out of the rail and has never distructed them as they have been through this before. The only difference this time, there are not on their own.

In these days and society, a learner should learn in an environment that is safe and under controlled circumstances.

"There has been a huge turn of events since the arrival of these mobile classes because there is a space in our classes that allows us to focus and worryless because of the pandemic that has been ill-plagueing our country for over 2-years now" said one of the students.
