Mashashane Clinic Has The Community Talking

Our clinics have to value and prioritize the health and safety of our patients. With that been said, our doctors and nurses combined are needless to say, also have to cover at least 40% of the above mentioned with their knowledge.

The community of Mashashane at large had lodged a complaint in numbers regarding the barbaric behavior of one of the nurses at their clinic - Mashashane Clinic.

Is it said that this nurse doesn't make it any easier for patients visiting the clinic on a daily basis including the elders.

This issue has even spread to the community leaders at large, even reached the ANC Mashashane-Ward 40 Morries Matsimela Branch Offices that also confirms that they have also received not one, not two but several complaints about this very same issue.

Clinics are some of the places where individuals and the community should find peace, love, and good health care. Yet, there is one bean that covers the sight of signs given of the listed above.

ANC Mashashane- Ward 40 Morries Matsimela has proclaimed to take up the matter with the MEC's offices regarding the replacement of the nurse where one of the social media users wrote: "rather take the matter to the Clinic Manager as there's a hierarchy of orders to follow looking at how the MEC might as well send them back to the Clinic Manager". Whilst other few people say that reporting the matter to the MEC could make things even worse and results in the clinic ending up short-staffed and time taken to find the replacement.

There have been cries that as this clinic queues are most of the time too long, the nurses take their time in helping their people therefore, a few still think getting the nurse to be replaced can take up to months or even years whereas the very same elders that are said to be disrespected needs that extra help of that nurse.

"Their actions may cost many lives. Sick people don't deserve sick treatment. Something is definitely wrong if you find a person behaving the opposite" said one Mashashane resident.

Even though there is nothing tangible to second and support what has been said by the community, the ANC ward 40 Cde Mpho Nemaguvhune Mathatho says that there is a need for factual evidence before they could consider what to do next as this matter cannot be supported by the things said on the streets without proof. "Not that I'm disagreeing with all that has been said but it is out of our hands at this given moment". Mpho revealed after telling us he also once tried to engage with the Clinic Manager regarding the nurse but with no progress.

The Mashashane Clinic Manager could not be reached for questioning.

"Communication is the most important key. It wouldn't hurt to sit the nurse down to find out what is it that is really wrong rather than go all out and about ruining their chances of been employed ever again", said one of his colleagues.
