This colt man's love for softball has grown in him and he opens up about his journey, without the presence of both his parents.
Lucas Lamola known as the great "Kilimanjaro" started playing Softball at the age of 8 with the view of it as a hobby that today, he grew gradually to impress in the same sport. He is been a Softball pitcher for Naledi Spiders team since the beginning of his journey.
As Lamola has been playing softball for most years of his life till date, he is amazingly confident that the best is yet to unfold as he is to conquer the sports fields and looking at numerous competitions to partake in by the end of this year.
The 21-year-old softballer from Jupiter Ga-Mashashane tells us that softball has always had a way of putting his heart at ease. He had lost his parents at a very young age but Softball, kept him going.
"I'm an orphan, survived by softball" Lucas proclaimed!
Lamola has secured numerous awards, one being the Best Newcomer of Limpopo Sports Awards. Also, came out No.4 as the best pitcher Softball World Cup.
"Been an orphan has never dragged me to give up, rather made me the strongest, the winner, and the best of all times. Not having both my parents to witness how far I've come, hits home but life has to go on" said Lucas.
This young man is representing our village so well in bigger plays and has been in several provinces including the Western Cape province about a month ago, heading provincial pitchers.
Lamola is appealing to anyone who can sponsor him with kits and other important essentials.
