It is said that residents of Matlala Ga-Manamela in Limpopo outside Polokwane gave this young man a fierce beating that resulted in later death, in their belief of him being the cattle thief. Reported Wednesday night, Puse dies in his home after been left fighting for his life on the streets of Matlala.
"How sad can it be for us youngsters when we are losing one another? Puse had a bright future and a whole life filled of exciting experiences ahead of him". a close friend said.
Based on his Facebook timeline, this young man sounds like a very humble and respectful person.
According to his sister Lerato Papo, they had lost their cattle about a year ago that was recently found in Ga-Matlala. As Puseletso went there to fetch his and his siblings' legacy, he got beaten up. Puse trying to explain didn't make things any better for him yet got beaten up like a monster or rather a creature in the village.
"I suspect that the people who killed my brother, are the very same people who stole our cattles in the 1st place". When Lerato was asked why her suspicions stand in this direction, she tells us that no one in the right state of mind would just beat up someone that much because of their belongings. She further asked that "who would even steal cattle on a broad, sunny day? "
What type of anger drives people to end up using an axe on a human?
What type of cruelty? "Puseletso came home covered in blood on his arm and only God knows why he didn't lose his arm on the scene. It was heartbreaking" said his 19-year-old sister.
"If only our mother was still alive, she would know what to do. I feel helpless. I'm losing my mind. These people didn't even think twice at least before making sure they cut his life short. I was still expecting a lot from my brother" Lerato said.
On socials, his close friends, family and Mashashane abroad are in demand of Puseletso's justice with the hashtag #JusticeForPuse.
Matlala police force had failed the Papo family as they have never done anything since reported Wednesday night.
May his soul rest in peace.
