Ditebogo says that before she started her business, she was worried about not been able to afford herself and her loved ones, the high rate of unemployment and the pandemic putting many jobs in jeopardy. She then saw an opportunity in starting her own business and Achaar was what she does best. Ditebogo then started saving up and made her Achaar last year, got people to taste and started selling it. "Around my area, many people had to travel for kilometers to get Achaar that was fresh and mouthwatering".
Ditebogo is currently working as an Assistant at Morwakola Drop-in-Centre, GaKgasha and still pushes her Achaar business as a side hustle.
She tells Strictly Mashashane that she developed the love for business a couple of years back as she used to work at a fast food spot where she was making Kotas (Bunny chows). "During those years, I realised making Achaar was simple. I got to taste many different Achaar flavors from the spot, I did my own research and learnt ways around making a delicious Achaar. I then decided to make my own, with my secret special ingredients. With the appreciated help of Chilla Nathi guru, Tumelo Carter Chabalala got me Mojalefa to do the branding".
As she continues, she says that D's Delicious Achaar goes with every meal and is available in mild, hot, extra hot, garlic and says she cannot wait to introduce more different flavours to it.
"Where you come from, does not determine where you going". Said Ditebogo.
Her goal is to have her own Achaar company that will supply the whole of Mashashane stores, surrounding areas and worldwide. "I'd love to see D's Delicious Achar company having branches all over the world and empowering young women like myself to stand up and never stop dreaming".
