We had a chat with professional property practitioners, Molatelo Makgobatlou of Morema Estates and Dudu Maapola of Leso Estates and got some insight into buying, selling and renting of properties.

Molatelo Makgobatlou is a professional property practitioner under a very fast growing agency of Morema Estates that is based in Gauteng province. He was born and raised in the dusty streets of Ga Mashashane Bellingsgate, the east side of Polokwane. In his line of work, he deals with buying, selling and rental of properties all over the Gauteng province. He is a well motivated and friendly property practitioner that is hungry to serve his community in finding them the best homes of their desire.
People are buying, selling houses and renting under different circumstances. We can mention a few, might be due to retrenchment, age, upgrading/downgrading e.t.c that is where Molatelo steps in and makes excellent sale without worrying both parties. He tries by all means to make the sale fast by bringing in only qualifying clients with the discription of the same property, trying to avoid a lot of viewings with no offer.
Also, owning a home has many advantages over renting that many people don't know about or often overlook.
Dudu Maapola, who is also a property practitioner at Leso Estates says that one of the advantages of buying is that the costs of your monthly repayments decrease with an interest rate cut, whereas a fixed rent remains the same. The interest cut that kicked off in 2020 means that homeowners are saving money whilst renters could be paying inflated prices. If you are a first-time buyer, low interest rates and high supply makes now a good time to get involved in the buyer's market".
Escape the rent.
When it comes to getting on the property ladder sooner, it's best not to fall into the comfort zone of renting, and for first-time buyers to take advantage of things like low interest rates to take their first step onto the property ladder. Furthermore, if you intend to buy-to-let, the income from rent can be used to pay off home loan.
A firm talk with a first-time buyer, Miss Reshoketswe Ledwaba who has been renting her space for all of her tertiary years and first few years of her job, says that a lot of money has been spent on making sure to have a roof over her head. " It is only now where I realise that all those years of renting, I have spent a lot but I usually console myself with the fact that it was all worth it". Says Miss Reshoketswe. However, Mr.Eugene Selalelo says that as a parent, he feels he should own a property so that his children wouldn't be homeless if it happens that death visits, while not basically focusing on death only but also giving his kids an advantage to get familiar with the environment.
There has been a lot of transformation in the property sector in the last few years. We have seen finding a property becoming more easy through marketing platforms and buyers being pre-qualified before going for viewings of the houses. To buyers, Molatelo is here to make your house hunting simple and less challenging. You just send him an enquiry then he calls you and get the picture of your dream house through the phone, and pre-qualify you on the spot that will save you time and money from going up and down viewing houses you don't qualify or you won't even like.
