Botsikana Secondary School, under Maune circuit in Capricorn district of Polokwane city, bounces back to obtaining the 4th position in 2020 matric results after been seen and labeled as one of the lowest-performing and underestimated institutions out of all in the village for over the years, in a row and facing a depressing, huge setback and loss of students attending, in numbers.
The community at large, dearly parents and affected members around the above-mentioned institution, had to intervene particularly on the teaching system, learning, and learning environment as they could no longer take the yearly embarrassment, image, and character of the society that the school continued to produce.
After the shutdown, many communities were disadvantaged and learners affected, had to walk for more than 10km to access another high school, as it's not all of us that are privileged enough to pay for private or public transport to access other better schools.
The school has now bounced and growing so amazingly to now having more than 300 learners this year, 2021.
From the School Principal, after the inspection had and shown records since the year started, it is indeed safe to say this is just the begging. The future is bright and ravishing for all learners and educators.
The history of the school from the year of operation, the school has produced successful doctors, accountants and many successful individuals with their pleasing edu-care. Knowing that not always everything goes accordingly, Botsikana kept the hope and finally came out even stronger.
Failure makes you the strongest.
